91全能版

The University of 91全能版

Background

October 21: at the 2015 State of the University Address, Dr. Annette Trimbee formally unveiled the newly-affirmed Strategic Directions for U91全能版, developed from the extensive consultations with U91全能版 community stakeholders that took place in recent months.

The Strategic Directions —Academic Excellence and Renewal; Student Experience and Success; Indigenization; Research Excellence, Knowledge Mobilization and Impact; and Financial and Institutional Resilience — are articulated in context in the document titled "Growing Leaders" which may be viewed above or downloaded at the link below.

In the coming year we will draw on faculty, staff, students, and external stakeholders to provide their input as we develop an interlinked Academic Plan and Research Plan, a Strategic Enrolment Framework, a plan for Indigenization, and a Financial Resources plan that includes capital development. These documents will outline our specific actions and metrics that will advance our strategic directions, made within the context of our proposed three-year budget.

July 3, 2015 – Update

During April and May, just under 220 people attended one or more of the 11 Strategic Directions workshops held on campus. The workshops were run in a small group format and many in-depth and important conversations were had. In addition to these workshops, 18 written submissions were received from individuals and groups. A summary of the workshops and submissions is presented below in our “What We Heard” document. Feedback is welcome until August 15, 2015. Please email your comments to uwdirections15@uwinnipeg.ca

Over the summer, a final document will be prepared outlining the Strategic Directions for U91全能版. This document will be presented to the Board of Regents in the Fall.

Thank you to everyone who participated.

U91全能版 Strategic Directions – What We Heard [pdf]

Under the leadership of the Board of Regents and President & Vice-Chancellor Dr. Annette Trimbee, The University of 91全能版 will be engaging faculty, staff, students, community members and other stakeholders in a discussion around strategic direction. After a decade of growth and change, we want to take the time to pause and reflect on our current state, the environment within which we operate, and engage in conversation and decision making about the direction and priorities of our institution.

Over the next few weeks we will be holding a series of workshops on campus. The goal of this process is to provide a clearly articulated framework that can be used to guide strategic decisions at U91全能版.

The process will be guided by a series of questions posed by the Board of Regents. These questions are included in the Strategic Directions Discussion Guide.

The Strategic Directions Discussion Guide can also be downloaded by section here:
