4 year Bachelor of Science - Athletic Therapy

Four Year Bachelor of Science – Athletic Therapy

The four-year Bachelor of Science – Athletic Therapy degree focuses on the prevention and care of muscle, bone and joint injuries as they occur in sport, recreation, fitness and in the workplace. Students will learn to assess the cause and severity of an injury and provide the most effective rehabilitation and return to sport/recreation/work protocol.

Our curriculum is designed to promote critical thinking, observation and research skills in areas including injury prevention, assessment, rehabilitation, biomechanics and strength and conditioning, all of which are key components in the profession of athletic therapy. The program is accredited by the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association (CATA). Upon graduation, students will have met all educational requirements of the CATA and would be eligible to challenge the National Certification Exam.
